Community Benefit

In keeping with our mission of caring for all in the community, Memorial dedicates significant resources for programs and services that increase access to health care for the poor and uninsured and improve the health of our community. Community benefit takes many forms, and we are pleased to share Memorial's 2013 Community Benefit Report.

Requests Accepted for Funding
Each year between September 1 and December 31, Memorial receives applications from non-profit agencies for consideration for the following fiscal year, which is July 1 – June 30. Each request must include a brief description of the project with clear statements detailing the goals and objectives and anticipated outcomes. Memorial’s guidelines for community support and funding application.

Improving Health Care Access
Memorial partners with Project Access, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department, the Homeless Health Care Clinic, the Samaritan Center, Catholic Charities and other agencies to ensure that medical care is available for everyone.

Memorial North Shore Health Center and Memorial Westside Health Center offer primary and preventive care and social services regardless of ability to pay.

Faith Community Nursing
