CHI Memorial Continence Center, Chattanooga’s only comprehensive center, treats women and men for urinary and fecal incontinence in a private, comfortable environment. The inability to control bladder and/or bowel function is not an inevitable part of the aging process. Millions of Americans suffer with incontinence, but women are twice as likely to suffer as men.

Technology and Treatment
Our team of urogynecology and urology specialists utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to accurately evaluate urinary incontinence, bladder incontinence, pelvic pain, overactive bladder, uterine prolapse and vaginal prolapse.

There are many non-surgical treatment options available for urinary incontinence including highly specialized physical therapy, medications, lifestyle modifications and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) which provide effective results for many patients. Evaluations for surgical solutions are available for those patients who do not receive desired results from conservative treatments.

If you have one or more of the following symptoms, CHI Memorial Continence Center can help you.

  • Bladder leakage from coughing, sneezing or exercise.
  • Can’t always make it to the bathroom in time.
  • Bladder feels full even when it’s not.
  • The bladder fails to empty completely and/or leaks continuously.
  • Inability to control the loss of gas, liquid and/or solid stool.
  • Decrease in the frequency of bowel movements or difficulty passing stool.
  • Vaginal or pelvic pressure and discomfort, particularly during sexual intercourse.
