We Care Saturday is September 28

CHI Memorial’s Rees Skillern Cancer Institute will host its annual We Care Saturday on September 28, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Willow Tree Farms in Ringgold. This event is a fun-filled day for persons with cancer and cancer survivors, as well as their families and friends. There is no charge to attend.

Activities 

• Catch and release fishing
• Chair massages
• Community drumming and songwriting
• Expressive art workshop
• Face painting
• Popcorn and coke floats
• Question and answer session with physicians
• Story time
• Trolley rides
• Yard games
• Yoga

Members of the CHI Memorial Rees Skillern Cancer Institute staff will also be at the event including nurses, dietitians, social workers, chaplains, and art and music therapists.

Food trucks will be available and picnic lunches are also welcome.  Free meal tickets will be available while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and their own fishing gear.
