Deborah LaGoo, BSN, RN, CDCES, is a registered nurse and certified diabetes care and education specialist with additional training as a health coach and faith community nurse. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Chattanooga State and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College. Deborah has served at CHI Memorial as a bedside nurse, a quality review nurse, a nurse health coach, and as an inpatient and outpatient diabetes educator prior to joining CHI Memorial Endocrinology Associates.

As a CDCES,  Deborah’s passion is partnering with patients to empower them with knowledge, build on their inner strengths, and develop individualized plans to help manage their diabetes well. As an individual living with Type 1 diabetes, Deborah has personal empathy and compassion for others who are journeying through life with diabetes. She is a member of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists and the American Diabetes Association.

Some of Deborah’s favorite things are spending time with her family, friend and family game nights, hiking, cooking, and serving at her church home.
