Dr. Mayshan Ghiassi is a fellowship-trained cerebrovascular/endovascular neurosurgeon with CHI Memorial Neuroscience Institute. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and serves as a Diplomat on the board. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the AANS Cerebrovascular Section, and the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS). Dr. Ghiassi provides highly skilled care in the treatment of brain and spine conditions. His expertise is in cerebrovascular surgery, skull base neurosurgery, spinal reconstruction, and minimally invasive interventional stroke treatment.
Dr. Ghiassi has treated more than 1,000 stroke patients over the past 16 years utilizing advanced technology to perform minimally invasive interventional stroke treatments resulting in the reduction of mortality and morbidity rates commonly associated with stroke. His expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, accomplished through the smallest corridor possible, minimizes a patient’s blood loss, lessening the potential for tissue injury to the muscles, and helping patients return to activity sooner with fewer post-op medications.
