Paul Hoffmann, MD, is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and International Spine Intervention Society.

According to AAPM&R, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), also known as physiatry or rehabilitation medicine, aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.

Dr. Hoffmann has more than 20 years’ experience providing interventional spine management caring for patients with spinal-related problems including neck and back pain, spinal stenosis, and radiculopathy (commonly known as sciatica). Dr. Hoffmann focuses on conservative treatment and exhausts all non-operative options before considering any type of surgical intervention. Treatment may involve physical therapy, injection techniques to calm inflammatory responses, and newer treatments like radiofrequency ablation of the spine for chronic pain from arthritic conditions.
